Essentials Creative was selected through open call for The Last Sky, the eighth edition of the Texas Biennial, at Blaffer Art Museum, University of Houston — on view September 27, 2024 through March 9, 2025.
The banners of the Land of Spirit Waters series, first hung in the trees at Yanaguana Garden, moved indoors for the Biennial — moon panther, sun bird, and spirit figures on the museum’s white walls.
Established in 2005, the Texas Biennial is the longest-running state biennial in the United States. Installation photography by Francisco Ramos.
